Just a bit of good news.

I want to thank the lady who telephoned me, and Amanda from Ermington, who took the time and effort to do the following:

A digital camera was lost at the weekend at Blackdown Rings, the old Iron-Age fort outside of Loddiswell.

After much searching and telephoning to lost properties in various places suspected to be where the camera was lost, the carry case and camera were considered gone forever.

A couple of days later, I took a phone call from a lady whose son had seen a picture of me printed out from the memory card and pinned up on two posts in the car park of Blackdown Rings. 'Do you know these people?' .... Camera found etc.

The lady's son said he recognised me, I was then tracked down and called.

I was given the phone number of Amanda, who had gone to the trouble of printing the signs and returning to pin them up in the car park.

I contacted her and later collected the camera with great thanks and gave a small gift for all the effort that she had taken.

Often we only hear of bad things happening in the news, and I wanted to pass on my genuine thanks to Amanda and to the lady and her son (I am sorry I did not get your name when you called) for the thought and good will that caused you to make this happen.

For what it is worth, I will pay that good will back by passing on my own good deeds when the time arises to do so. My faith in human nature is once again restored.
