In the Dartmouth Chronicle this week, we lead on a story about a 77-year-old woman who was left waiting on a cold, dark street for six hours for an ambulance.
A witness said the elderly woman fell in Stoke Fleming at 8pm last Thursday night, but it wasn’t until 2am that an ambulance could get to her.
Our picture story is about a campaign group hanging the dirty linen of NHS bosses in protest against the closure of the cottage hospital.
Inside we cover the expected 3.4 per cent increase in beer tax and how it could affect the pub economy in the South Hams, as well as all the details you need to know about the Dartmouth Food Festival, which is to start tomorrow.
As always, we feature information about ’What’s On’, around the clubs, and ’Village Voices’ all inside.
Remember if you can’t get to the shops, or you have moved out of the area, you can get all South Hams Newspapers online here: http://www.southhams-today.co.uk/subscribe.cfm.
