This week in the Dartmouth Chronicle we lead on our local MP, Dr Sarah Wollaston, resigning from her party because it has moved too far to the right.

Dr Wollaston on Wednesday, along with two other Conservative MPs, co-wrote a letter addressed to the Prime Minister stating the reasons they chose to leave.

Our picture story is of pupils from Stoke Fleming and Kingswear primary schools after they had participated in the recent Youth Speaks competition, which was organised by the Rotary Club of Dartmouth.

Inside, we delve into what it takes to be a journalist, written by none other than our own chief reporter, Sam Acourt. No one day is ever the same!

We also report on the contentious road closure on the A379 at Frogmore, meaning a long detour round Stoke Fleming and Blackawton.

As always, we feature information about ’What’s On’, around the clubs, and ’Village Voices’ all inside.
