Tim Trent, of Coombe Road, Dartmouth, writes:

The idea of using Grasscrete on Coronation Park to pave the dinghy park, which is costing the council tax-payer £86,000, is a flagrant misuse of our money.

Spend a little on men with strimmers a few days each year and leave it as it is.

South Hams Council is wasting money it should be spending on local services. £86,000 is the cost of three people’s employment. It could spend some of it on finding and prosecuting the vandal who cut down the beautiful magnolia.

It is time the council got a grip on what we need – it is supposed to be our servant, not our master.
