The South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty unit has published its winter-spring coast and countryside events programme.
The 24-page leaflet is crammed with activities and walks in the area suitable for all ages from now until April.
There are lots of opportunities to get out and enjoy something new or to be creative. New events include canoeing on the Salcombe-Kingsbridge estuary; looking at birdlife; making your own 'green' Christmas decorations from the hedgerow and garden; and a coastal walk with breakfast celebrating Farmhouse Breakfast Week in January. Other events include a variety of themed walks from archaeology and history to wildlife, and activities such as farm trails and wildflower gardening. All the events are aimed at helping residents and visitors to enjoy the AONB and gain a better understanding of the area.
The programme is free of charge from local information centres, leisure centres or libraries or from http://www.south">www.south devonaonb.org.uk.
