“I stood in the field for 30 minutes waiting for the one cloud in the sky to come over me”, said self-styled enthusiastic amateur, David Hixon.
David’s photograph was awarded Photo of the Week on ePHOTOzine. It was described as a ‘beautiful English country sunset capturing the Daymark Tower in Dartmouth’
David visits the Daymark frequently. He “always wanted to capture a colourful image but usually came away with a black and white image. It’s a special place for me.
“The Daymark and Dartmouth itself make such an impressive background especially at night. From the Daymark you can see Dartmouth to Slapton Sands. It draws photographers from Exeter to Bristol.
“At Regatta, it is one of the finest places to watch a flypast. I have watched both the Eurofighter and the Vulcan from the Daymark. There are always loads of people there with me, many in deck chairs just for the view. They have worked out this is the best view.”
David trained at Plymouth College of Art and Design and works with a local graphic design studio, http://d56535.wixsite.com/picture-devon
