Kingsbridge Young Farmers Club are hosting their second annual Big Barn Bash at Woolston Farm on Saturday.

Gilly Luscombe, KYFC, said: “By kind permission of the Merrin Family, KYFC chairman Tom Darke invites old and young farmers and everyone in between to join us on July 15 for what is promising to be a great night of dancing to well known band ’Risky Business’, pigging out on Rose Farm hog roast and chin wagging over a shandy or two.

“Starting the proceedings at 7.30pm with a friendly competition of Tug-O-War. Boys, girls and mixed teams can be entered on the night. £10 entry per person to include a free drink, T-O-W teams go half price.”

Last year this event raised £2,500 for local charity the Kingsbridge Triangle Centre and this year they hope to build on that success as raise even more money for the Devon Young Farmers ’Growing Safer Farmers’ campaign, which aims to reduce the number of farm fatalities in Devon and Cornwall, which are higher than any other part of the UK.
