Kingsbridge Rugby Club have handed over a cheque for more than £2,000 to the Devon Air Ambulance following their charity golf tournament.

The charity golf day, which took place in July at Thurlestone Golf Club, raised £4,168, with half going to the Devon Air Ambulance, and half going to Kingsbridge Rugby Football Club.

A total of 23 teams entered the tournament, with the winning team being captained by Malcolm Gloster, and the runners up being KRFC members Chris Bowles, Keith Williams, Ashley Treeby and 1st XV Captain Ben Glover.

Over the last three years that this event has been organised by KRFC’s Patrick Robinson, more than £6,000 has been donated to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, who use the High House pitch as one of their community landing sites.
