KINGSBRIDGE Petrol Station is on track to be ready by December 2, according to the guys on site.
The Ilbert Road Filling Station closed on September 23, to have all its tanks, pumps and roof replaced, with an expected reopening date of December 2, ten weeks later.
Work has been ongoing, the tanks have been removed and groundworks completed, and one of the new tanks arrived by lorry on Wednesday morning.
One of the workmen said that the tanks will be installed, the holes will be filled with gravel and stones for drainage and support and then the tarmac will go on the top. ‘We’ll be finished by the end of the month’, he said, with the shop expected to open on schedule on December 2.
