Kingsbridge residents will have their chance to show solidarity for the Ukranian people in a vigil that will be held tomorrow.

People are being encouraged to dress in blue and yellow, light candles, bring daffodils and balloons and make their own placards.

Town Mayor Mike Jennings and the Reverend Jackie Taylor will lead the community into a time of silence to hold the Ukrainian people and the country in their thoughts and hearts.

The vigil will be held between 5pm and 6pm at Kingsbridge Town Square tomorrow (Friday March 4).

Online donations can be made to the British Red Cross’ Ukraine Crisis Appeal to help get food, medicine, shelter, warm clothes and water to those who need it most -visit:
