KINGSBRIDGE Family Church is holding an Open Doors talk called ‘Connect with your Persecuted Family’ with eyewitness accounts of persecution in Iraq and Syria.
Graham Fish, Kingsbridge Family Church, said: ‘Open Doors is a Christian charity and has been supporting the persecuted church in Syria and Iraq for many years. They provide Bibles, training, livelihood skills, advocacy and a variety of practical means so that the people know they are not forgotten and can be strong.’
The talk will be given by ‘Michael’ - not his real name for his own safety. Graham continued: ‘As we listen to the media coverage of the awful treatment of the people in these countries we can only imagine what it’s like. This event will give us eyewitness stories from the real life experiences of this man.
‘He will be encouraging the Christian church here to pray for the people and support the work of Open Doors. This is a great opportunity for everyone to come and hear for themselves what a challenge it is to be a Christian in another country.’
The event will take place at the Kingsbridge Family Church on Wednesday, November 23, at 7pm. Refreshments will be served from 6.30pm and everyone is welcome.
