Mike Pleass, trustee and fundraising co-ordinator, Dart Sailability, of Ridge Hill in Dartmouth, writes:
On behalf of Dart Sailability I would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Dartmouth Sainsbury’s and the kind people of Dartmouth for their generosity at our fundraising collection at Sainsbury’s on Saturday.
Dart Sailability is a non-commercial charitable group formed in 1997. It is managed by its members with the aim of supporting sailing for those with all types of disability on the river Dart.
As a Dartmouth resident, I am disappointed to often see negativity about Dartmouth and its people in letters and articles, and I would like people to see the other, caring side of Dartmouth.
In these busy and financially challenging times, I am delighted that people were kind enough to dig deep and raise £382.72 for a worthy cause.
Thank you Dartmouth.
