KATS production of Guys and Dolls is set to start this week.

The production’s first show will run from Wednesday, March 27-30. It will be performed at 7.30 each evening as well as a matinee on Saturday at 2.30. The hall has raked seating and plenty of parking and licensed bar.

Production manager Jill Brock, gives an insight into what to expect from the performance: “Playing the role of big time gangster Big Julie, is KATS stalwart Christine Bonner. “Christine first appeared with the society in 2007 in the play, Beside the Seaside and has since appeared in countless plays and musicals including Nettie in Carousel, Widow Corney in Oliver!

“Lina Lamont also performed in Singin’ in the Rain and Gerda Christow also featured in Agatha Christie’s The Hollow. Christine also performs and directs for the Salcombe Players, her most recent production being the spiffingly successful comedy Daisy Pulls it Off.

“Guys and Dolls is a sparkling, big-hearted musical tale set in the seedy backstreets of Broadway. Filled with fun and wonderful songs such as Luck Be a Lady and Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat, audiences will love this high energy production.”
