Dartmouth Rowing Club put the juniors through their paces on Sunday with a full days training on and off the water.

The day was split into three sessions which saw 23 junior rowers rowing in a variety of boats including the eight. They were also given inputs on technique, coxing, boat handling, water safety and hazard awareness by DARC’s British Rowing qualified coaches. 

The juniors will be racing this summer over ten regattas around the West of England  circuit at Plymouth, Wimbleball, Bideford, Exeter, Totnes, Falmouth, Appledore, Paignton, Torquay and the season finale in Dartmouth before heading off to the South Coast Championships in Deal. 

The club are still seeking crew sponsorship for our junior crews to help cover entry fees at the above regattas which currently stand at £22 per boat. If you able to help and support a junior crew please contact Vice Captain Shaun Barker 07900983650 or email [email protected]
