I am writing to compliment Kingsbridge Town Council on the cleanliness and super ­facilities on offer to visitors to the town during our recent stay.

I have been holidaying in the South Hams for several years. During our stays we have always been impressed by the friendliness of the local people, as well as the pubs, restaurants and shopkeepers.

Highlights are the swimming pool, park, estuary wildlife and the sunny scenery.

Our visits are always worth the long drive down from York, especially as we have a local host and lifelong friend Jill, who entertains us admirably.
