The Hope Cove Life Boat has received significant donations from Bognor Regis Golf Club and the Hope and Anchor Christmas raffle.

Captain Chris Hickling from Bognor Regis Golf Club, who presented a cheque for £2,500 to the life boat, said: “I have been a regular visitor to Hope Cove for the past 25 years and have made many friends here, most of whom seem to be involved in the life boat in some way.

“As captain of Bognor Regis Golf Club, I was able to nominate various charities to sponsor and I have been extremely pleased to see how enthusiastically our members supported the choice of Hope Cove Life Boat.”

Hope Cove Life Boat were meeting for their monthly 50-50 club draw at the Hope and Anchor Inn. And landlord Chris Roberts presented a cheque for £1,200 to the life boat.

He said: “As a pub we aim to support as many local charities and worthy organisations as possible throughout the year, and our local life boat is very close to our heart.”

Graham Phillips, chairman of Hope Cove Life Boat said: “We are continually amazed and very grateful to the huge help we get from individuals and organisations both locally, and from further afield, epitomised by these two donations received this evening.”
