I would like to thank Nigel Way for his extraordinary thoughtfulness, sensitivity and practicality.

When walking his dog by the Community Orchard on Ridge Hill, Nigel came across our cat Max, who had just used up his last life after being run over.

Nigel took the time to read Max’s tag, call me and tell me he had our cat, and when I arrived tell me that Max was dead. He handled my immediate emotional response so well and then offered to wrap Max up so I could take him home.

He did all that with great sensitivity, for which I and Caron will always be grateful.

We miss you, Max.
