Gary Edgecombe, of Camperdown Road, Salcombe, writes: Having had Cliff Road blocked by building work on and off for the best part of three years, we now only have to travel a couple of hundred yards to find that Bennett Road now enjoys the same distinction. Apparently, builders' vans are not subject to the restrictions that you or I are – outside this site they can park as they please. HGVs can shut the road at will – hey, no problem, it's another holiday home, exempt from the traffic regulations that see someone visiting the chemist being booked while they collect medication. What will be done about it by our town council? Absolutely nothing, as usual! Am I really the only local who is getting very tired of this?
