A group dedicated to fundraising for a much-loved South Hams charity has thanked the organisers and all those who attended Kingsbridge Show.

The Hannahs Ivybridge Supporters Group works to raise money for the charity that supports, looks after and educates disabled children and adults in the town, and at its sister site at Seale-Hayne.

The group runs the refreshments tent each year at Kingsbridge Show, taking the opportunity to generate much needed funds for the 250-year-old charity.

Chairman Mary Watts said: "We had a very successful and hectic day serving teas, coffees, scrummy cream teas and delicious cakes to some new and many longstanding supporters of our charity. Many of our customers further supported us by taking part in our rather quirky ‘Guess the name of The Cow’ competition - the correct name was Lady. Our Hannahs Ivybridge Supporters Group had a great day!"

She continued: "A huge and special thanks to Kingsbridge Agricultural Show for allowing us the opportunity to provide the refreshments tent, and to Morrisons Kingsbridge for their contributions of the milk and clotted cream. Of course thanks also to all those that came in for a cuppa and a slice of homemade cake, and to sit and rest from the many delights of the show."
