T Warwick, of Fosse Road, Kingsbridge, writes:
I often use the road to Bigbury-on-Sea to visit friends and I was amazed to see a 'Flood Warning' sign there during the recent wet weather.
This road often has a little surface water which quickly drains into a large ditch leading to a field soakaway.
Who on earth arranged this, thinking it necessary to send a road gang out with brand new signs when surely they would have been better used elsewhere.
I suppose I should be glad our council is being so vigilant. But how much did this cost, a lorry, possibly two men on board and, of course, double time for weekend work?
It's good to know our council tax is being wisely spent by whichever dogsbody authorised this action and, of course, the boards were still in place earlier this week and probably will remain so for a considerable time until they are unusable.
