Jonathan Parsons, business manager, Ivybridge Town Council, writes:
In response to the letter from John Reynolds, July 22, since the changes to the ground floor layout in The Watermark happened in May 2015, we have seen use of the flexible space that was the information centre increase.
We offer the space free of charge in the evenings to local groups to use for informal meetings, information events, consultations and activities, as well as offering some craft activities during the day.
Please contact The Water-mark directly if your organisation would like a space.
To find out just how many groups are currently using The Watermark facilities, please come along to our open morning on Saturday, August 13. There will be stalls, free activities and demonstrations to enjoy.
We are still providing the local information that we always have, just from a different location.
The tourist information is more focussed on the South Hams now rather than the south west.
We have been able to dedicate more space for local job advertising and local businesses, while having staff available during opening hours to provide information, and work more closely with Devon Libraries.
