Deputy mayor Dave Cawley provided an imaginative dream checklist to lure businesses to Dartmouth, Chronicle, January 27, but he makes the town so attractive I wonder how the newcomers will have time to run their businesses.

However, I respectfully suggest one important item was missing – the Flavel Arts Centre. This community arts centre has been active for only seven years and yet brings a vast number of people to its cinema, theatrical productions, top quality musical events, art exhibitions, lectures and comedy shows.

Where would Dartmouth be without it?
