CHILDREN at All Saints’ Primary School in Thurlestone decided to see if they could encircle their school with loose change for Children in Need last week.
Pupils from all five classes brought in their spare change, and at break time the members of the school council started laying out the donations to see if they could make it the whole way around the site.
Unfortunately they ran out of time after reaching about three quarters of the way, but they’re certain that if they’d had time to ensure the coins were end-to-end, then the coins would have made it the whole distance.
Mr Jan Boscene, deputy head of school, said: ‘The good news is that all the cash together raised £113.72 for Children in Need, so it was a great fun way to help raise money for a good cause.’
