SALCOMBE Brownies paid a visit to South Moor Vets as part of their Friends to Animals badge.

Hazel Burkitt, Brown Owl, said: ‘Vet Amy and head nurse Vicky showed the girls around the practice and they got the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes and got to meet the lovely Lu, Vicky’s border collie.

‘The Brownies listened to Lu’s heart, practiced bandaging her leg and fed her lots of treats. They were also shown an X-Ray of a broken leg in the special X-Ray room.’
