KINGSBRIDGE Library have unveiled a photo collage featuring photos of Kingsbridge Fulfilling Lives clients throughout the year.

Trudy Thorning, a client at Kingsbridge Fulfilling Lives, unveiled the collage which had been put together by her and her group.

Trudy said she liked coming to the library because it was a ‘good library’ and she ‘makes lots of things like pasta photo frames and using the computer.’

Judy Snape, Kingsbridge Library First Assistant, said: ‘About three years ago we as a library were thinking about how we could make become more inclusive and Doug, who used to work at Kingsbridge Fulfilling Lives [formerly known as Ropewalk], was coming down and using the computers.

‘So we thought it would be nice to make the library experience more interesting and more enjoyable for people who used Ropewalk. So we try out a session every now and then with crafts, coffee, tea, music and ending with a story session.

‘This developed into a session once every six weeks and then we have been welcoming clients of Kingsbridge Fulfilling Lives once a month on the last Thursday of the month. We have done crafts and made picture frames, done cooking, flower arranging and all sorts and during that time I’ve been taking photos.

‘I’ve printed theses photos out and they have been stuck down by the owners of the photos, the people who are in them, into a frame, which was decorated. So now everyone outside can see what everyone here is doing.’

Ronnie Howe, who used to attend Ropewalk, sadly died last year so he is memorialised in some of the photos.
