OUTDOOR learning has never been more fun at Dart­mouth Academy.

Years 3 and 4 are starting to create a forest school environmental area near the timber house at the end of the playground.

Forest school is an inspirational process which offers children regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.

The youngsters have cleaned up the litter, cleared an area of brambles, planted some primroses and started making a bench.

This will enable the group to create a bird friendly area so they can observe and record changes as the area develops.
