The Devonshire Association has organised a free lecture.
The association dedicated to the study and exchange of information and ideas all about Devon has scheduled the free public lecture for Friday, June 1, in Dartmouth.
At the Flavel Arts Centre, the lecture is on the role of Dartmouth in the training of naval officers by Dr Richard Porter, the curator for the BRNC. Everyone is welcome and no prior booking is required.
During the weekend, the association is holding its 156th annual conference in the town. A variety of topics which will be covered during the weekend include Devon family life in the Great war, Brunel, William Pengelly, and tourism across Devon.
The conference will be exploring many aspects of the town’s proud history and engaging character in lectures and visits.
