East Allington Primary School spent the day bringing the 1960s back to life on Friday, March 31.

Teachers and pupils alike came to school dressed in their most far out clothes, spending the day jiving, bopping and indulging in black forest gateaux.

And East Allington’s very own Fab Four made an appearance, performing a song to the whole school.

Class teacher, Lisa Howells said: "We learnt lots of different dance moves and some songs from the 1960s. We compared entertainment in the 1960s with now and completed independent projects which were presented to the whole class.

“We also designed mood boards based on the 60s which we are now using for a textiles-based project, and we looked at flower power and used pastels to create flowers."
