BUDDING poets from a local primary school are celebrating after their work was published in a national anthology.

Several pupils from The Erme Primary Shool in Ivybridge had the honour of seeing their poem in print in Once Upon A Dream, published by Young Writers.

The school held a special assembly where the children read their poems out loud, and were presented with their books.

While the school said it was proud of all the children who entered the competition ’as we are all aspiring to be writers and poets at The Erme’, special thanks and congratulations go to published poets Oliver Jones, Issy Hawling, Immy Richards, Matthew Boys, Dorothy Kenderdine, Chloe Jones, Nicole Mitchel and Isaac Mahoney.
