Speeding is quite complex but common sense put into action takes away complexity.

Regarding a letter on August 17, from Andy Thompson regarding accidents involving cyclists and motorists, I would like to say that everyone who uses the road going towards the Globe Inn at around sunset knows only too well how easy it is to be blinded by the sun.

A few accidents, with vehicles hitting the wall just after the cottages on the left hand side going up, bear witness to how dangerous it can be to continue to drive when the sun is so strong and low.

The answer is to either stop the vehicle until your vision is clear, drop the visor in the car or wear sunglasses to stop the glare.

We all need to be more aware when driving in sun, rain or fog – all undermine our visibility at times.
