In last weeks Gazette, a letter was published about how the youth of Kingsbridge were 'yobs'.

As a young person, who is living in Kingsbridge, I am deeply offended that a person would abide by the national stereotypes rather than getting to know us.

As the youth representative for Devon, I have visited many places and I am proud to say that Kingsbridge has one of the kindest, aspirational and talented groups of young people in this county.

We have everything ranging from athletes and musicians to public speakers and scientists and I speak on behalf of the youth of Kingsbridge when I say that we would appreciate it if people took the time to talk to us and get to know ALL of us before they make harsh and critical judgements like the example from last week.
