Regards to the community shop in Dartmouth – thankfully I’m in a position where I need not use this facility, but would donate happily.

Unfortunately there are less fortunate people who live in and around Dartmouth who use this shop.

People like the one who spoke to the volunteer as published in last week’s Chronicle visit my town, fall in love with the place and decide to move here, but once here they see that everything in the garden is not as rosy as they wished it to be.

They do nothing but cause grief, push up house prices so the youngsters are unable to get on the property ladder in their own town, and being an OAP do nothing but moan constantly about my beautiful town and the annual events that take place here.

And by the way, if you have not realised it yet, yes, I’m a true Dartmothian.
