Members of village churches have presented the product of a year’s coffee mornings to Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

South Brent Churches Together hold ’open house’ coffee mornings every Tuesday in the Methodist Church hall from 10am to 11.30am. The busy social occasions offer free coffee, biscuits and often cake, although a donation is always welcomed.

The donations are put together each year, and given to a chosen charity. Last year, that was DAAT, although the mornings have now started raising funds for this year’s charity, Shelterbox.

This week, Churches Together members gathered to present £350 to a grateful Rory Blair on behalf of DAAT.

South Brent Methodist Church treasurer Monty Rogers offered his thanks to Pat Prebble, who organises the open house events.
