TWO long-serving Dartmouth coastguards have been recognised for services to the community.

Station officer Andrew Pound marks 40 years in the service next year and his deputy Ian Pollard has completed 30 years service.

They received the Dartmouth crest at a meeting of the town council on Monday.

Mayor Cllr Rob Lyon said it was a pleasure to present the awards. ‘We are both very honoured,’ said Mr Pound.
