Edward Johns, of Tollbar Close, Ivybridge, writes: On the Sunday morning of October 5 I was walking towards Cole Lane in Ivybridge from the direction of the Rugby Club. I saw a cyclist wearing a St Budeaux Cycling Club jumper pass me heading towards Ivybridge. He must have been doing 40mph as he approached the mini-roundabout and would have had no hope of pulling up should a car with right-of-way have come out of Cole Lane. Not only that, but he then overtook a car that was travelling at around 30mph and just pulled in ahead of the car, narrowly missing hitting the bollards in the middle of the road. He was one of many riders I saw that morning, three of whom were cycling abreast of each other, holding up traffic behind while they meandered along chatting to each other.
