SUE MASON, of Kingswear, writes:
Following Cllr Jan Henshall’s reassurance, Chronicle, February 3, of being in touch, I would like to question that. Like her, I have lived here all my life and have attended many meetings.
Concerning the recent decision to close our hospital, I do not believe she has been to any meetings in Dartmouth to make her views known – crocodile tears, now it’s too late.
Light House Beach: I used it for many years with my family, until it was sadly closed by the landowner. The majority clearly believe we were on that beach by right, not by permission, yet she has always taken the landowner’s position, selling our community short.
The recent issue of the play area, were again after three public meetings, in which Kingswear clearly showed we wanted this facility, she has done all she could to get it stopped.
And most recently she proposed spending £6,000 of taxpayers’ money on Jubilee Park that was clearly not wanted.
