Stephanie Cherington-Rimmell, area fundraising manager, Devon, Cornwall and Dorset, CLIC Sargent, writes: January is often a time of planning and setting ambitious goals for the year ahead. I am sure many of your readers are planning to lose weight, get in touch with old friends or ­complete that challenge they have always wanted to do. Everyone has their own ­targets for 2015 and CLIC Sargent is no different. Our work with children and young people is vital here in Devon and across the UK. Through coffee mornings, cake sales, dress-down days, abseils and many other activities, our community raised a staggering £200,000 for CLIC Sargent in 2014. This year at CLIC Sargent we have even more exciting events planned in Devon. With many challenges and events taking place, we are looking forward to what 2015 might bring. The calendar of events will kick-start with our Valentine's Ball in Barnstaple and will include the Tiverton Canal Walk, the Plymouth Half Marathon Schools Challenge and much more. I want to wish everyone a successful 2015 and hope that we can reach our goals together.
