Following their award-winning production of Blood Brothers(NODA Best Play South West)and a long Covid break – Kingsbridge Amateur Theatrical Society are back and looking for new members.
KATS will be putting on ‘9 to 5 The Musical’ in March 2022 and are holding casting calls on Thursday 14th, Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st October at Dodbrooke Church hall starting at 7.30pm. Anyone and everyone is welcome – age 14 to 114.
They need on stage, off stage, building stage, front of house – all making up a great team and a brilliant way to get involved in the local community.
The 2022 Musical production is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie 9 to 5, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. This hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.
Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss.
In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot.
While Hart remains "otherwise engaged," the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down.
