EC MORGAN, of the Promenade, Kingsbridge, writes: Oh dear, not again! Such a lovely picture of the car park and South Milton Sands, which Sam Acourt reports is in Thurlestone. How can Sam Acourt print so many inaccuracies as appeared in the Gazette of March 6. The car park is in South Milton Parish, as is South Milton Sands. Please Sam Acourt, before you write get your facts right, because you are offending people like me who have lived here all our lives and know where the boundary between South Milton and Thurlestone is ­situated. I am 89 years of age and have a long association with South Milton. My grandfather farmed at Wakeham Farm, my father was born there. My mother taught at South Milton School and I attended South Milton C of E School. Obviously the National Trust has got it correct, as on its signs it is South Milton Sands. The car park being offered for sale is definitely in South Milton Parish.
