A CHARITY fundraising antiques quiz at Thurlestone Village Hall on Thursday, October 13 will give you the chance to show off your antiques knowledge.

The Kingsbridge and Salcombe fundraising committee of Macmillan Cancer Support has teamed up with fine art auctioneers, Bearnes, Hampton and Littlewood to host the ‘Call My Bluff’ antiques quiz evening, beginning at 7pm.

Daniel Goddard from Bearnes, Hampton and Littlewood, together with his team of experts will arrive armed with ten antiques and works of art. They will then take it in turns to try and persuade you that they are telling the truth about each of the items.

All you have to do is work out who is correct and who is bluffing! The person scoring the most points at the end of the night will receive a small prize.

Tickets include a pasty and baked potato supper, tea and coffee. People are asked to bring their own wine, beer or soft drinks.

Julie Thompson from the the fundraising committee said: ‘This is a light-hearted and entertaining evening and we want to encourage as many people as possible to come along to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

‘We need their help to continue supporting people with cancer.’

Daniel Goddard from Bearnes, Hampton and Littlewood said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting Macmillan with some fun around works of arts and antiques. We hope people will enjoy the evening and raise funds for such a worthwhile cause.’
