I was interested in your recent article on air pollution.

Two of the recommendations to help improve matters in Totnes are to build a cycle path to Littlehempston and an underpass in Station Road.

Can somebody please explain how this helps pollution or am I missing something?

Everybody knows the main culprit is traffic going through Totnes to various other places.

Perhaps councillors should take a walk along the A385 during rush hour and smell for themselves.

Instead of wasting money on monitoring equipment, surveys and consultations, just put the money towards a bypass and get on with it. It’s not going to get any better.
