A fun run with a foam and bubble twist is returning to the South Hams at the end of the summer.
The Bubble Rush, a five km foam filled, sponsored fun run is being held in Sparkwell for its second year. The event, which takes place on Sunday, September 23 at Newnham Park is in aid of the Children’s Hospice South West and is being sponsored by GA Solicitors.
Last year, 1200 people took part raising £40,000 in sponsorship for the charity that supports children with life limiting and life threatening illnesses and their families through its three children’s hospices.
Participants can run, jog or walk through different coloured bubble stations getting covered in foam of all colours along the way.
All ages can take part, making it a perfect family, friends or colleagues event. There will be staggered starts at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm to ensure that everyone gets maximum bubbles.
Kiley Pearce, events fundraiser for CHSW said: “We are really excited about bringing the Bubble Rush back to Plymouth after the success of the first event last year. It is a great fun to take part in with your friends or family and is a fantastic way of helping us to raise vital funds for our hospices which support children and families from your local community.”
All money raised will go towards CHSW’s three children’s hospices, including Little Harbour in St Austell, to continue offering short breaks, respite, palliative care, end of life care and bereavement support to local children and their families.
Entry costs £23.50 for adults, £13.50 for children and under 4’s go free. To sign up visit www.chsw.org.uk/bubbleplymouth
