Following maintenance to the Boatfloat gates, they were rehanged.

A spokesman said:“A vital part of Dartmouth’s flood defences, the barrier is deployed when there is a heightened risk of the tide overtopping the quay wall.”

The gates allow access for small craft until the barrier is deployed. They may restrict access to the slipway and steps at the rear of Boatfloat.
