School opens its doors to local community for breakfast.
Loddiswell Primary School have had their annual Big Breakfast fundraiser, which is the first to be held in the new school building. The construction of the £2.9 million sustainable primary school has recently been completed, and it officially opened for students on Monday April 16. The event raised £1200 for the school and will be spent on additional equipment and facilities for the students.
It was an opportunity for the local community to see the new school for the first time. Guests were served full English breakfasts, pancakes, and sausage or bacon rolls. The new school hall is twice the size of the previous one, so the guests could stay for longer and enjoy the atmosphere.
The new school finally has all of its facilities on one site, including a playing field and hard play area, a vegetable patch and a forest school complete with covered pergola. The land that the school is situated on was gifted to the community by local farmer Paul Harvey.
The school’s PFTA would like to say thank you to everyone who helped and supported the event. In particular they wish to thank all those that donated prizes for the Grand Summer Draw.
