A MAN is keen to discover the story behind three British war medals.

Peter Grady, from Glasgow, bought the World War One Victory medal, British war medal and 1914 star medal belonging to FC Harvey and would like to know more about the gentleman's heritage.

Mr Grady has traced that Mr Harvey lived at Edgemount, Higher Batson in Salcombe, had a wife called Annie and died in 1917.

He also discovered that Mr Harvey served on HMS Diana as a first class stoker.

Mr Grady said: 'I'd really like to find either a relation or a historian who may be able to help me trace any other accolades Mr Harvey may have had.
