Dartmouth Players have started rehearsals and have a full cast for all the main parts in their production of King Lear on Friday, May 25 and Saturday May 26, at the Flavel but now need a few people to be players in very small sections of the play. The male roles are Gloucester, Kent, Albany and a gentleman. There are also one or two non-speaking female parts not cast.

Bill Hunt a member of the players said: “These are very small parts and only appear twice. You do get to wear Elizabethan costume and the parts are not at all challenging. However, our final staging plan is dependent on filling them.

“The speaking parts are: Gloucester who has seven lines, Kent who has 8 lines and Albany who has 4 lines. There is another male part, ‘The Gentleman’, which is a non-speaking part and could be played by a woman or a man and a female non-speaking part.
