Jane Martin, of Higher Warren Road, Kingsbridge, writes: I have never noticed so many smokers as I have since I have lived in Kingsbridge/visited Dartmouth. Whether it is walking past the bus stop, taking a stroll along the quay, in the park or up and down the town, there seems to be a never ending stream of people puffing away and inflicting their poison onto me. I have a real intolerance to cigarette smoke. Just one long innocent inhale of smoke carried by the breeze up my nostrils and my chest heaves and I start coughing. If I am not dodging smoke then I am dodging the butts thrown carelessly around everywhere. The sooner smoking in public places is made illegal the happier my lungs and feet will be!
