A woman had both her legs run over near the Ilbert Road Filling Station, but suffered only minor injuries.

Police were called to the scene at 10.30am on Friday morning, where it was reported that an elderly female had been hit by a car and was pinned under the vehicle.

The driver was reversing out of the hairdressers TQ7, when he struck the woman and drove over both of her legs.

Kingsbridge Police said: “Police, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, South Western Ambulance Service and a BASICS Doctor attended and the lady was recovered from beneath the vehicle. She was taken to Derriford Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the car was reported for driving offences.

“We wish the female a speedy recovery.”
