Kingsbridge police have received reports of a series of vehicle crimes that took place over the weekend of Friday, November 10-Monday, November 13, in the Icy Park/Glebeland area of Aveton Gifford.
Four separate vehicles were entered and had cash or power tools taken, and a fifth car was stolen.
This was later found dumped in Kingsbridge, in a location where another car, a black Peugeot 207 was stolen. This car hasn’t yet been found.
Abandoned near to the scene of the original theft in Icy Park was another car, believed to have been stolen in Plymouth 2 weeks previously.
The common denominator with all these thefts is that the vehicles were left unlocked overnight. In the case of the cars that were stolen, the keys were left inside the unlocked cars.
Sergeant David Green has emphasised that, “there is only ever one person responsible for crime, and that is the criminal.”
“But we do not have to make their job easier for them do we?”
