A driver has been reported to court after reports of cars racing each other round a public car park.

Dartmouth Police have reported that a driver has been caught racing another car without any insurance and issued warnings against driving without the official documents.

The police posted on the Dartmouth Police Facebook page: “Whilst on patrol tonight [posted on Wednesday, April 18] I received an anonymous text message on my work phone about two cars racing around the park and ride area.

“I went to the location and managed to find one of the cars which turned out not to have any insurance. The driver has therefore been reported to court.

“It would seem that there are a lot of people ignoring the law in respect of driving without insurance and without the proper license.

“If you suspect that someone is driving around without driving documents then do feel free to get in touch.

“These people cost each and every one of us more money to insure our cars so it is a high priority of ours to get them off the road.”
